#MBFWA

Hey people of the internet! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, cause I know that I did. This post is going to be a little longer and different to all of my others.

First off let me just start by saying that it is my birthday this Tuesday! So as a gift from my Mother I went with my friend, my Mum and my Marnie (Grandmother) to the #mbfwa. This is the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. It is a fashion show held in Sydney. It was absolutely amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. We went to see the weekend edition, that allowed us to see the best of’s and attend a couple of style sessions.

First we waited in line to see the runway, as we are waiting the photographer took some photos of us. Then after waiting around half an hour we are told we can go in. We walk in and there is some music playing and people sitting in rows of seats either side of the runway, which is going round a middle section of seats. We had bought bronze seat tickets so we go sit up the back of one of the side sections. Then a man from the ushering team comes up and says that we have been upgraded to gold seats and that we can go and sit in the middle section. My friend was wearing the flattest shoes so we were like RUN ALANNAH!! We get to our seats and we find out that we get free bags that contain magazines, samples of products etc. As soon as the show starts we are mesmerised by these tall and beautiful models walking some amazing designs, right in front of our faces! They were so gorgeous!

After the show we decide to skip one of the style sessions and go and get some food. When we get back we wait in yet another line and eventually begin walking into the MAC style session. It was really good and even though I probably can’t afford anything that they showed, it was really helpful and it made me fall even more in love with their products. After this we go into the runway ready style session. This one was all about hair and how they do the models hair. They showed us two different styles they had recently used in shoots and on the runway.

Overall the experience was amazing and i’m thinking I will go next year too!
