Style Stereotypes - By Suburb: Melbourne

Hey guys! Today is all about Melbourne and their fashion stereotypes based on the suburbs.

South Yarra

Style definition: Preppy Normcore.

Typical outfit: Black blazer/coat (preferably a big brand name) some super cute sneakers, and to top it all off an Anya Hindmarch bag. To go for a more classy look just switch your sneakers with some ankle boots and you good to go!

Celebrity style inspiration: Emily Weiss.

St Kilda

Style definition: California + Melbourne = St Kilda.

Typical outfit: chokers and anything off-the-shoulder are staples for a St Kilda girl. Crochet bikinis, bomber jackets and denim cut-offs are always found in their wardrobes.

Celebrity style inspiration: Gigi Hadid.

Brighton

Style definition: Think The Hamptons.

Typical outfit: Everything stripes (most likely Bassike) a dad cap, loafers and a pair of skinny jeans.

Celebrity style inspiration: Doutzen Kroes.

Toorak

Style definition: OTT- everyday glamour.

Typical outfit:
A Toorak girl loves labels and has figured out how to create outfits with them everyday. A Chanel slung over the shoulder, kaftans on her feet (though never on sand!) A leather jacket and some oversized sunglasses add an edge to the look.

Celebrity style inspiration: Chiara Ferragni.

Albert Park

Style definition: Brunch with the gurls!

Typical outfit: Nike free-runs are your go-to shoe, you love a good Uniqlo puffer vest. The only accessories you need are the classic Ray bans and iPhone headphones (incase you want to go for a run.)

Celebrity style inspiration: Hannah Bronfman.
